In over forty years of activity in the animation world, John Musker has signed some of Disney masterpieces such as The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, up to the more recent The Princess and the Frog and Moana, for which he obtained Oscar nominations. Cartoons on the Bay – International Festival of Animation, Transmedia and Meta-Arts, promoted by Rai and organized by Rai Com with the direction of Roberto Genovesi, will award the American film director, screenwriter and film producer during the 28th edition of the event that will be held in Pescara, from May 29 to June 2, 2024. Born in Chicago in 1953, John Musker made his debut in 1981 as an animator on The Fox and the Hound. At Cartoons on the Bay 2024, John Musker will be protagonist of a retrospective and a master class, and will present in Italian premiere his latest work, I’m Hip, that made the Animated Short Film category shortlist for the 96th Academy Awards.
