John Musker

John Musker is a forty-year veteran of the Walt Disney Animation Studio.  He trained at Disney under the mentorship of Eric Larson, one of Walt’s inner circle of animators, the “Nine Old Men”.  With his partner Ron Clements, John went on to write and direct several animated features at Disney including The Little Mermaid (1989) ;Aladdin ( 1992); Hercules (1997) ;Treasure Planet ( 2002); The Princess and the Frog( 2009); and Moana ( 2016). In his retirement John directed and animated the hand-drawn short ”I’m Hip,” short-listed for the 2023 Oscars.
