In the spotlight is Lucrezia, the witty and irreverent character brought to life by Silvia Ziche, gracing the poster for the 2024 edition of Cartoons On The Bay, the International Festival of Animation, Transmedia, and Meta-Arts. “I thoroughly enjoyed uniting Pulcinella and Lucrezia, my character, to cultivate a connection and a playful exchange of glances between them, pondering whether they will continue their adventures in the vibrant world of cartoons,” the artist shares. Having debuted her comic strips in Linus magazine in 1987, Silvia Ziche has since contributed to various publications including Cuore, Smemoranda, Topolino, and Comix, while also collaborating with several publishing houses. Her latest creation, Lucrezia, is a regular feature in the pages of Donna Moderna magazine and makes occasional appearances in bookstores.
Directed by Roberto Genovesi and promoted by Rai, Cartoons On The Bay, organized by Rai Com, is set to take place in Pescara from May 29th to June 2nd.
