Leslie Iwerks is an award-winning filmmaker known for directing, producing, and editing critically lauded documentary features and shorts such as the Academy Award®-nominated short documentary film Recycled Life, the Primetime Emmy®-nominated film The Pixar Story, and the Primetime Emmy®-nominated six-part docuseries The Imagineering Story. Most recently she completed the three-part original Max documentary series Superpowered: The DC Story, and the four-part original Max documentary, 100 Years of Warner Bros. narrated by Morgan Freeman. Leslie’s desire to innovate and push boundaries with her filmmaking was cultivated and inspired by her family upbringing. Her grandfather, Ub Iwerks, was the original designer and co-creator of Mickey Mouse, Oscar-winning visual effects pioneer and Disney Legend. Her father, Don Iwerks, is also a Disney Legend and Lifetime Achievement Oscar winner.
